Dear Multicultural Art Performance Troupes,

As the Chinese New Year approaches, the Christchurch Happy Chinese New Year will be grandly held at Victoria Square on 20–21 February 2026, in the heart of Christchurch. Organized by the Chinese Advisory Group, this vibrant multicultural Spring Festival celebration embraces the theme “Welcoming the New Year with Blessings, Celebrating Cultural Integration.”

The event will feature stage performances, cultural and craft stalls, a lantern exhibition, global cuisine, and evening fireworks—creating a festive and inclusive celebration for all communities.

We warmly invite multicultural and international performance troupes across New Zealand to join us. Whether through traditional Māori song and dance, Chinese music and opera, international folk dances, instrumental performances, or other culturally rich art forms, we welcome diverse artistic expressions to grace our stage.

Professional stage equipment, scheduling, and on-site support will be provided to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all performers.
